EVERNA Archon EXOS - Gundam EVE - Season One Plot Part 2 (Episode 31-52)

Episode 31 - The Chase

As Mike was new as the captain of Hyperion, he was just getting the hang of the super spaceship. The radar crew informed that the Jotunheim, containing the Archons and the Phalanxes were chasing them and began to catch up with them. Desiree Keynes asked Mike to engage the enemies. Mike thought for a while, and he got an idea. The plan was to move haphazardly to confuse the enemies, and then to counter attack when the enemies were distracted. Latimer Pyke, Aegia Chandler and Renee Lacroix volunteered to provide additional "distraction", followed by the Sentries from the Alliance. Mike agreed and told the volunteers to go sortie and launched at once.

Episode 31-2 - The Gundams' Dance

Paladin, Avalance, and Vorpal launched for the first time from Hyperion, each leading a squad of sentries. Their order was simple: The Sentries must move along with the Gundams to distract the Archons and Phalanxes. The Archons: Harbinger, Ashanti, and Ahriman assisted the Jotunheim in the chase. Naturally, Harbinger chased Avalance, Ahriman chased Paladin, and Vorpal must evade Ashanti's dead shots. So, the six titans danced in the air, giving a pretty sight. But another surprise would come.

Episode 31-3 - Yuri's Gambit

Hyperion and the Gundams moved haphazardly, evading and confusing the enemies. It was a battle of attrition and Hyperion got the advantage of having the most fuel. It took long for Yuri to grasp the trick. When he realized it, Jotunheim's fuel was dwindling.

So, in desperation, Yuri tried to hit the Hyperion with Jotunheim's main plasma cannon, even if it hit the mobile suits and the squad, friend or foe. Sascha protested, but Vlad rebuked him, saying that it was necessary.

Episode 31-4 - Gjallarhorn Blast

So, Jotunheim fired its main cannon, Gjallarhorn. The blast went through, melting Ahriman's feet down. Paladin tried to deflect the blast by his super shield catching the brunt of the blast. The shield was destroyed along with Paladin's shield arm. But the blast went through and hit Hyperion's force field. The force field broke and Hyperion got hit and sustained minor damage. Sascha yelled that Yuri could be court martialed for this, but Vlad slapped him unconscious.

Episode 32 - Indranara's Aid

The last hit gave Hyperion no choice but to turn around and engage the Jotunheim, Mike told the Gundams to lure the Archons away and had Hachiman sortie. Mephisto also sortie from Jotunheim. So, with the Sentries they fought the enemies plus the Phalanxes. But the AEF was outnumbered. In the brink of defeat, a group of 52 sentries came as reinforcements, led by Dirga. Seeing the huge disadvantage, Yuri had no choice but to withdraw. The AEF was saved, Mike thanked Dirga and Dirga's squad guided Hyperion toward the secret base in Indranara.

Episode 33 - Dawn Revenants

Andrew received the AEF with gladness, but not relief. He asked whether they had shot Jotunheim down, but Mike didn't use the Agneyastra plasma main cannon yet, because he was more civil than Yuri Antonov. Being a villain once, Andrew reprimanded Mike, his old rival and enemy fighter in Martial Arts Ultimate League (MAUL) as a rigid  and softie. In addition, Andrew also mentioned that the main cannon of Hyperion, Agneyastra was invented by him. And that was the precious cargo he sent, with Gatotkaca guarding it.

Episode 33 Part 2 - Rendang Fried Rice

Zeyn Fadel was imprisoned in the brig of the Hyperion, because nobody would take a risk with the elusive DR pilot, with the ability to gather information and espionage, a "chameleon" like Ahriman Archon. In accordance to the convention on prisoners of war, the AEF treated Zeyn very civilly. Dirga visited Zeyn and and brought Zeyn a dish of Rendang Fried Rice, with spicy curry-like flavor. Zeyn asked curtly, "What's the catch?" Dirga said. As Zeyn was from Yasremid, the fried rice would suit Zeyn's taste, giving him the peace of mind after that "friendly fire" trauma. Zeyn's heart melted a bit.

Episode 33 Part 3 - The Alarm

But Mike told Andrew about Yuri's gambit that became a blunder. Realizing his own "mistake" in the past, Andrew shrugged, saying, "It's up to you and your personality." But, before the Alliance could rest for a while more, the alarm blared. To all present's dismay, the radar staff reported hostiles detected. The monitor displayed the Jotunheim coming in great speed, along with five carrier planes, the Balsas, carrying Phalanxes. Also a squadron of Raven fighter planes.

Episode 34 - The Battle of Mahesapura

Andrew handed over the command of the base to Mike, while he concentrated on the repairs of Gatotkaca Gundam and the refueling and launching of Hyperion into space. So, Mike had no choice but to send all available Sentries and Gundams to intercept the enemies. Their objective was to buy time until Hyperion launched safely into space, bringing as many units as they can. Ahriman and Gatotkaca were out, so the four battered Gundams must fight the three battered Archons plus one fresh Vordac Archon. Outnumbered, the Gundams and Sentries did hit-and-runs, and changing targets every time.

Episode 34-2 - Ballerina Bombardina

The best suited Gundam for this tactic was Vorpal. She gracefully hit Harbinger and evaded Ashanti's shot. And then she did a trick shot on Ashanti. When the latter tried to evade it, Vorpal already appeared on another side and hit her with Vorpal Beam Sword. Ashanti retaliated, but Vorpal already moved away and shot Mephisto. Mephisto read Renee's mind and locked her to fight him. The fight went on as we cut to another scene.

Episode 35 - Avalance's Finest Hour

With Vorpal opening the way, Avalance was like a tiger given wings. Seeing an opening, Aegia activated the Codex System and unleashed his ultimate move, the Five Elements Cannons. He shot many targets of his choice at once, laser beams spread from the rifles and wings.

Ashanti was hit bad, forcing her to retreat into Jotunheim. Mephisto and Harbinger took less damage, so Mephisto continued to attack Vorpal and Harbinger was locked in a dogfight with Hachiman. Avalance joined in after cooling down for a while.

Episode 36 - Paladin and Vordac Again

As Harbinger was fighting Avalance, Paladin flew around the battlefield, but he couldn't find Vordac Archon anywhere. So, he dashed towards Jotunheim to destroy the enemy flagship. As expected, Vordac launched from Jotunheim and engaged Paladin. But, Paladin sensed that Vordac's movements were rigid. Vordac's pilot, Sascha was under Vlad's hypnotism, and Paladin used that for his advantage, to compensate for his inferiority to Vordac in terms of size, power, and weaponry. Paladin remembered the saying, "All that matters is not your weapon, but how you use it."

Episode 37 - The Countdown to Space

Paladin fought very valiantly. His more variative moves inflicted significant damage to Vordac. The frequent shakings shocked Sasha back to his senses. Vordac's sudden change shocked Paladin. But Paladin was winning. Paladin was about to destroy Vordac when he received Mike's message: Hyperion was ready to launch and Gatotkaca was inside it. All Gundams and Sentries must enter the spaceship right away.

Episode 38 - The Sacrifice

Hearing that, Paladin just swiped Excalibur and damaged Vordac. It wasn't fatal, but the damages were enough to make Vordac retreat. The other Gundams were still locked in fighting with Harbinger and Mephisto, so the least damaged one, Paladin stayed behind and fought the two Archons, sacrificing himself so his comrades could go free. The Sentries stayed with Paladin to hold the Phalanxes off. So, with heavy hearts, the other Gundams flew away and entered Hyperion. Hyperion launched into space safely. Paladin and the Sentries were considered missing in action ever since, and the Volsung secret facility was destroyed.

Episode 39 - Space, the Final Frontier

Aegia and the rest of the Archelon Crew were strapped on their seats as the Hyperion spaceship blasted into space. Tension was high as they rested their fate on the Paladin Gundam and the Sentries. In the end, Hyperion escaped into space. The Archelon sighed in relief, but with a heavy heart. The loss of a precious comrade, Latimer Pyke was reason enough to mourn instead of to celebrate. They couldn't track Paladin on Everna, so the Gundam must be gone. A moment of silence to honor the fallen heroes.

Episode 39-2 - Moving On

In the briefing room, Aegia listened as Michael revealed the next step of the plan. Volsung had prepared a new fortress on the Moon, deep in the surface for EVA and AEF. Andrew and Desiree acted as Directors. Merlin Azrabel, who was in charge of building the base handed the management to EVA (Alliance). In a trivial note, Merlin was going back to Everna. But he didn't need to use a space shuttle to reach home, and Merlin's job in the moon was done.

Episode 40 - The Sources of Chaos

Before going home, Merlin share pieces of vital information with Mike, Desiree, Andrew, Aegia, Renee, Dirga, and Gin. The speedy development on the Union and the Dawn Revenants was because they were backed by another organization almost as powerful as Volsung, called the Iluminati. The Iluminati consisted of the richest and smartest human beings in the world. They utilized the Union's surplus of technology and compensated the minuses with their financial and human resources.

Merlin knew that the ones who gathered the Iluminati since the medieval times were their opposition, the Prime Pilgrims of Chaos named Nostradamus and Eve. As direct interference was forbidden in the Prime Pilgrim Covenant, Merlin and Alistair would focus on keeping Nostradamus and Eve at bay, and leave the rest to the AEF and EVA.

Episode 41-1 - The Iluminati

The secret organization of Iluminati was indeed exist. Its chairman was Patrick Elgrade, descendant of Stephen Elgrade, founder of the Elgrade Motor Company (Like Elon Musk). ElgradeCorp had became a giant global conglomerate. But, he was swayed by Nostradamus, the Prime Paladin of Chaos' promises of absolute freedom, supremacy, and profits from space conquest. Nostradamus reminded Elgrade about their deal, and it was time to take action.

Episode 41-2 - Elgrade

Patrick Elgrade called for a special conference with Nostradamus, Dietrich Holzmann, Yuri Antonov, and Paul Guzabe (starring Morgan Freeman), the Head Scientist of the Union. Elgrade rebuked Dietrich and Yuri about their failure to eliminate the Alliance's higher-ups, the Hyperion, and the Gundams. Yuri put all the blame on Isiah Hinds, whose carelessness piloting the Behemoth had cost the Union dearly. But Nostradamus laughed at that stupid excuse. He said if only Jotunheim moved along with Behemoth, it would destroy Hyperion just as it launched from the base. Dietrich stood by Yuri by saying "We are not almighty like Mr. Nostradamus here. Things happened, and not everything is in our control. So, we shall hear your suggestion for this matter."

Episode 41-3 - Nostradamus

Hearing the cue, Nostradamus had his say to the matter at hand. He didn't blame the "ordinary humans" as he also made mistakes. And then he systemically broke down his analysis. The Moon and Aesis colonies each consisted of the main colony on the hard crust, and artificial planets formed as clusters. There were 12 sectors on the Aesis Cluster named after the Zodiac (the Zodiac Cluster), and the 12 sectors on the Lunar Cluster named after the great Paladins of Everna (the Fireheart Cluster). The clusters were prone to destruction. The destroyed Sector Aries on the Union's side and Sector Marvellini on the Alliance's side proved that theory. So, the Union planned to attack the Fireheart Cluster first, while evacuating the Zodiac Cluster and relocating the colonists to the 2 moons of Aesis and the great asteroid, Nyx. Nostradamus, through Iluminati had already taken initiative by building a new fortress in the asteroid Zemeckis. When it was finished, the Dawn Revenants would be stationed there to safeguard the colonies and the main incursion point for expansions.

Episode 42 - Chandlers in Chandler

Before reaching the Lunar Base, the Hyperion made port at the nearest colony to the base, named the Chandler Sector. Aegia Chandler had questions about Robert Chandler, the heroic Paladin whose name was used for this sector in the Fireheart Colony Cluster. Resting in the city, the knowledgeable Andrew Setiadi explained about the colonies to the Gundam pilots. But he couldn't answer when Aegia asked was there a relation between him and Robert Chandler, as they bore the same surname. The colony sectors were: Deveraux, Sage, Chandler, Lavennia, Vyrkova, Windwalker, Edmundsen, Bachmann, Parvaez, Crydias, Marvellini, and Pavlovic.

Episode 43 - Robert Chandler

Renee Lacroix asked Gin to accompany her shopping, but Gin refused and chose to hang out with a group of Taehonese girls in the Hyperion crew (Starring: Blackpink). Aegia and Dirga offered to accompany Renee instead, and Renee didn't mind at all. During shopping, the group stumbled into a man with white hair, exuding an ethereal aura around him. Feeling familiar, Aegia talked to the man. To all's surprise, the man introduced himself as Robert Chandler, a citizen in this colony sector. Still amazed, Aegia asked, "Am I related to you in any way?" Robert answered, "Well,  you have my blue eyes, but the looks from our eyes are different. So, I don't know. But that fact that you noticed me even though we haven't met before proves that we're somehow linked to each other."

Episode 44 - A Pilgrim Among Us

Renee invited Robert Chandler to meet with Michael and Desiree in Hyperion. The immortal inter-realms pilgrim declined at first, telling that he had retired from Volsung and wanted to live in peace and quiet. But Aegia insisted, saying that peace and quiet was threatened, and Vadis had destined them to meet each other. A great hero of Everna's presence in Hyperion would inspire all and boost the troops' already low morale. Robert consented at last, and he came with Aegia, Renee, and Dirga to the ship.

Episode 45 - The Hero's Path

In Hyperion, Robert Chandler talked with Mike and Desiree. Desiree explained to Rob about the war, the conflict at hand, and the great destruction that threatened the colonies and the clusters, including sector Chandler here. So, the Alliance needed Rob's help to resolve the conflict at hand with the Union. Rob said he didn't do political negotiations, but he would help with all the experience and the powers he got, living for countless centuries.

Episode 45-2: The Guardian Angel

As Robert Chandler was a retired Volsung agent, Mike called Volsung to report about the meeting with Rob and Rob joining Archelon. This time it was Alistair Kane who answered. Alistair stated that Rob was appointed as the contact from Volsung within the AEF. By the way, Alistair wanted to convey two very important pieces of information.

One, Pyke and Paladin Gundam were in the Dawn Revenants' custody. The enemy was about to dismantle Paladin and modify it into something terrible, the ultimate Archon. Two, in anticipation to that, Volsung was also developing the ultimate Gundam. One clue, it was designed after Yvariel, the Archangel of Yvais. We stop at Rob, Mike, and Desiree's reactions.

Episode 46: Pyke in Peril

Being in the Dawn Revenants' custody was worse than death. Latimer Pyke was experiencing it, although he chose to surrender rather than being destroyed and killed. But, knowing that Paladin Gundam was about to be dismantled, Pyke began to regret his decision. Strangely, he received no physical torture.

But, the worst was about to come, namely Vlad Cjescu. Vlad came with his usual sly smirk near Pyke in his cell. Vlad then paralyzed Pyke and tried to hypnotize Pyke, to extract whatever top-secret information Pyke had about AEF and EVA, the opposition. But Pyke gave a strong resistance. He'd rather go crazy than being a coward and betraying his comrades. At last, Vlad gave up, leaving Pyke in convulsions in his cell room in Jotunheim.

Episode 47: A Blast into Space

The Dawn Revenants knew that Pyke, their captive must be kept alive to be exchanged with Zeyn, the captive in Hyperion. Jotunheim went to the spaceport in the Union main territory of Borgia and launched into space. They then would go to rejoin and regroup with their supreme leader, Dietrich Holzmann in Aesis. That was the plan.

Vlad warned Yuri that when Zeyn came back into their service, he wouldn't be the same man. Especially that they were going to space, a wild, untamed place, far from comfort. Yuri said Vlad was right, so he assigned Tevaa to watch over Zeyn. If Zeyn should make a suspicious moe, Tevaa the huntress sniper would eliminate him on the spot.

Episode 47-2: One Step Back, A Thousand Steps Forward

Just as Jotunheim arrived in the Aesis Base, Dietrich Holzmann, the Chairman of the Union called for an emergency meeting session. With all the DR present, Dietrich stated that the grand plan would be in motion, but not immediately. The Union would negotiate a ceasefire with

Episode 48: The Negotiation

There was a space station between the Moon and Aesis colonies and clusters, named New Yvais. It was a neutral zone built by the joint venture between Volsung, JinCorp, and other largest companies in Everna, from both the EVA and ECU sides. So, it was chosen as the site of the peace-ceasefire meeting between Dietrich, Yuri, and Paul Guzabe from the Union and Mike, Desiree, and Andrew from the Alliance. The negotiations were tough, especially when Mike demanded the Paladin Gundam to be returned along with Pyke, each in one piece. But Yuri explained that the Paladin was broken beyond repair.

Episode 48-2: The Exchange

Mike still demanded the Gundam in one piece, no matter how damaged it was. But Yuri said they had the Gundam dismantled. Mike and Desiree already knew from Alistair Kane that Yuri lied. At last, Dietrich gave in and promised to deliver the Gundam to the Alliance in exchange of the Ahriman. At last, the ceasefire treaty was signed, and the prisoners were exchanged.

Episode 49-1: The Assessment

Back in the Lunar Base, the leaders of the Alliance, namely Desiree, Robert Chandler, Andrew Setiadi, Michael Lee Anderson and the four Gundam pilots had a meeting. The ever-critical Andrew asked Desiree what her view was about this ceasefire treaty. Desiree answered that the Union didn't really wanted peace. They wanted to buy time to prolong the war and to prepare the ultimate weapon to annihilate the Alliance once and for all. Robert praised Desiree's analysis, but that wasn't complete.

Episode 49-2: The Course of Action

Desiree asked what was lacking? Robert asked what would she do during this peace period? Desiree said it was to prepare the provision and defense for the coming war. And she entrusted the military affairs to Michael, and asked Andrew and Robert's advice on military matters.

Robert Chandler, who only barely knew Desiree said that it was wise to know your limitations. But it wasn't wise to entrust all the defenses to the AEF. So, Desiree promised to coordinate more closely and more frequently with Volsung and AEF, and would analyze the defenses too. In the end, all partcipants left the meeting room satisfied, except Michael who was still concerned.

Episode 50-1: Volsung

Robert Chandler reported to Alistair Kane and Merlin Azrabel back in the Volsung Headquarters, using his exclusive access, as a holographic image. Merlin and Alistair were both infuriated by Desiree's indecisiveness. But she was the only incorruptible and the most able leader they knew for the Alliance. Merlin said the bad news was, they had to rely on Robert and Michael to keep the hope of peace alive. And the only way to do it was by eliminating the agents of chaos, namely Vlad Cjescu, Yuri Antonov, and if necessary, Dietrich Holzmann and the Iluminati. Nostradamus and Eve must be stopped for as long as possible to maintain order. Merlin would deal with Latimer Pyke, whose mind was bugged by the cheating Vlad. The good news was, Paladin Gundam was back with them, though dismantled in pieces. This enabled Volsung to finish building the ultimate Gundam much earlier than planned. But the Union would develop their ultimate Archon too, using Ahriman's parts.

Episode 50-2: The Exodus

Robert reported back to Mike, Desiree, and Andrew, only telling them what they needed to know about the strategy at hand. And the most urgent thing to do was to evacuate the cluster colonies and transport the inhabitants to Everna. Hearing that, Desiree carried out that mission at once, calling it by the code "Mission Exodus".

Episode 50-3: The Sleepwalker

Alas, the plan was overheard by Latimer Pyke, the inactive Gundam pilot recuperating from his tortures in the enemy's captivity. In a state of trance, Pyke tried to relay the top secret information about "Mission Exodus" to the Union. But Merlin Azrabel intercepted him and removed the "bug" planted by Vlad in Pyke's mind. In the end, Merlin whispered, "You won't be with Yvariel, Pyke. You are not worthy."

Episode 51-1: Aegia and Renee

Renee still bore the injury in her haead after a knock in the Vorpal's cockpit. It flared up again when she was assisting on Vorpal's repairs and she collapsed. Renee called for Gin, but instead Aegia came and brought her to the infirmary. Aegia's attention made Renee realize that Aegia was the right kind of man for her.

Episode 51-2: Gin and Dirga

Gin was too frustrated to give Renee his attention. The battered Hachiman couldn't reach the performance he wanted. Dirga assisted Gin with the technical skills he learned from Andrew, his mentor. So, Gin thanked Dirga and helped Dirga with the Gatotkaca tune-ups. Both Gundams were successfully upgraded. Gin learned humility and gained a true friend in Dirga Caraka.

Episode 51-3: Archelon's Resolve

The team visited Pyke and Renee in the infirmary. Mike joined in and conveyed Alistair Kane's message that Vadis, Everna's Patron of Light and the Source, creator of Omnia Universe were with them. Although the odds were against them, they mustn't lose hope. Pyke was without a Gundam and was a war hero. So Mike promoted Pyke as the Vice Commander of the AEF, piloting the commander-type Sentry to formulate and conduct tactics on the battlefield. "Take a deep rest and settle your affairs while you can. The fights will be much harder from now on."
